Most people don't know this about me, but I actually used to spend most of my time shut indoors reading and writing in pajamas surrounded by my cats and about 20 Betta fish (more on this later)! After earning my Bachelors in Creative Writing, it felt like someone had literally juiced my brain and I needed a bit of a break- and to be honest, since I developed a deep fascination with dogs I have not written much.
Keep your expectations low- I'm a little rusty!
Sure, I have written short captions for social media. That's not the same as writing for the sake of writing. Recently I saw that a dog training business I follow, Click and Repeat, launched a "Dog Trainer NaNoWriMo" challenge. For those that don't know, NaNoWriMo is "National Novel Writing Month" where the goal is to write a novel in only 30 days! However, the dog trainer version of this challenge is to write 50k words or 30 days of blog posts. As NaNoWriMo approaches, I'm kind of getting the bug! So, I'm going to try this out... at least for November! There is so much I can share with you at absolutely no cost if you are willing to read a bit (and I'll try to keep it short and sweet). I'll be asking my audience through social media what topics they want to hear about, let me know what you'd like to learn about and stay tuned!
